Hello Everyone!
Hope you are all well!

I have an exciting post for you all today! I have collaborated with T.M.Lewin to give you some inspiration for an outfit that can transition from a day at the office through to an evening out with friends. I am aiming to style outfits that will look smart and professional at work but still look chic for the evening. I decided to create two outfits because I couldn't decide on just one outfit!

Anyway this is my take on the transitional outfits, hope you like them!

Look One -

I chose a statement paisley shirt from T.M.Lewin's new summer rage as I wanted something that stood out and adds some colour to the outfit. I thought the paisley print on the shirt is bold enough to stand out but it still looks presentable for the work place.

The cropped trousers are also from T.M.Lewin but these are from their Women's Suits range. I chose this pair because they were cropped, this is just down to my personal style. I like trousers that are an 'awkward' length and are above the ankle. This pair have the hem folded up as a design feature and it adds some subtle detail to the trousers. Again like the shirt, these are perfect for the work place and they can be easily transitioned from daywear to evening wear.

For the rest of the outfit, I wanted to add a bit of edginess for the evening. I decided to add a pair of powder blue/metallic court heels because they bring out the blue in the shirt. To finish the outfit, I chose a suede mink biker jacket, a small grey box like bag and a peach coloured lipstick.

Look Two -

For this outfit, I decided to concentrate on the outfit rather than the overall layout because I wanted the outfit to be the main focus.

I thought this green stripe shirt from T.M.Lewin would be perfect for standing out within the work place but still look professional and presentable at the same time. The green stripes stand out nicely and add some colour to your outfit without overdoing it. This outfit would be perfect for when you are feeling relaxed and more casual, a bit like a 'Dress down Friday' outfit.
However this shirt would also be perfect for a night out with friends as it is a statement piece that you can dress up or down. You could wear this shirt with a fitted pencil skirt and a pair of heels but I went for the same black cropped trousers as I used previously. Again this is due to my own personal taste and style.

I chose the navy raincoat because I thought it was a nice contrast against the green, plus its light enough to carry if you decide to take it off whilst out.

For the rest of the outfit, I went for a small shoulder bag with a quirky design, monk style shoes for comfort at work and a pink lipstick because it looks great against the navy and green colours!

Look Three -

Finally, I chose to create a men's outfit too. This is because I haven't styled menswear before and thought I would have a go at it!

                                            Cassidy Mid Blue Chinos £44.95 - T.M.Lewin

From studying fashion at uni, I have learnt that menswear is all about the small details and accessories so I knew I had to find items that some interesting details or stand out colours. Which is why I chose to go for a textured yellow tie and some bright colourful socks. My partner always tells me that he needs to wear bright and quirky socks to make his outfit. Even though the accessories are bright, they are still acceptable to wear for a day at work. For the evening, you can just remove the tie and if you're feeling bold, turn up the hem of the chinos to show off the bright socks!

I also chose a tweed blazer, firstly because I love tweed and secondly tweed gives you a sense of heritage. Since I chose the tweed, I wanted to keep the shirt plain and simple but with a relaxed fit for comfort; so I chose this white royal oxford casual shirt. However, if you are looking for something more formal, you can always find other options among T.M. Lewin's suit section on their website, they come in a variety of materials and styles.

For the trousers, I chose a pair of mid blue chinos because they still look smart for work but are casual enough for a night out with friends. Like I mentioned above, you could turn up the hem of the chinos just enough to see the bright colours of the socks!

To complete the outfit, I chose a pair of classic black brogues! You could also chose the dark brown version but I asked my partners opinion and he chose the black out of his personal preference.

Hope this post has given you some inspiration on what to wear during the day that can also be worn to a night out with friends!
Which one is your favourite? I would love to know!
